Heaven

I saw a little bit of Heaven yesterday. There was a christian concert here in the Austin area. "Spirit Fest" There were christian artist that are new to me, there were life long favorites, and there were a couple of my absolute favorites. The place was packed, tight. It was held at a Minor League Baseball stadium. I showed my age by singing along with some old (ancient) songs. There were families everywhere, there were Christians enjoying the music that praised our Lord, People were raising their hands and praising Jesus. It felt so good to sit among those of like faith and worship, listen, and enjoy. I believe this is just a little taste of Heaven. But now it is over, time to get back to work.
Work? Reflecting/sharing Jesus Christ to others, telling them about Him, letting them know what the words of these songs of Praise and Love to our savior are all about. Yes, Heaven will be wonderful, fantastic, a place I and you cannot imagine (Sorry, "Mercy Me" was not there to sing their fantastic song: " I can only imagine") BUT Heaven is not here for us yet. We cannot sit back and enjoy the music for to long. We can when we do make it to Heaven with God, but not yet. There is work to be done. There a millions of others out there, that need to know His love, His forgiveness,His mercy, that He died for them. They need to see that there is a family waiting for them to become a part.
It is wonderful to have a day like yesterday, and see the other Christians that attend other churches and serve the same God we do, but it can only last for an instant. Time is at hand, Jesus Christ is at the door, just about to come again. He is taking that first step right now, looking at His Father and waiting for the sign to come. It is THAT close. Look around you at the shape of this world, it is ripe for the Anti Christ to take over and rule. Jesus wants NONE to perish, but ALL to come to Him.
Revelation 14:15
Then another angel came from the Temple and shouted to the one sitting on the cloud, “Swing the sickle, for the time of harvest has come; the crop on earth is ripe.”
Christians, the harvest is ripe, the Holy Spirit has been working for a long time, bringing those that feel conviction to the Lord Jesus Christ. There is NO Other by which we can be saved, then by Jesus Christ.
I thoroughly enjoyed the concert yesterday, especially two of my favorites: "Third Day" and "Peter Furher" (Newsboys}. They make singing praises to our God fun, and rhythmic, and exciting. All that were there (Close to 10,000, I heard one official say) praised, worshiped, and clapped, and enjoyed each other and the atmosphere. God joined us in the fun, I believe, He looked down and smiled, clapped and laughed with us, don't forget, He is our Father .
Take moments like this and enjoy our family. Refresh yourselves,love on each other, encourage each other, sing praises to our Lord and King. But don't stay too long, because you have brothers and sisters out there that have lost the way, and Heaven will not be the same without them.
